With an ordinary translation, the source text is translated into the target language or, occasionally into multiple languages, with the well-known traditional language translation procedure. Such assignments are generally performed by qualified translators. Occasionally we choose different people for particular jobs when the translation requires such deep technical knowledge that an authentic translation can only be provided by people working in the particular field every day.
We always take into account the type of the document, because the translation of a content-based text (e.g., contract, technical literature) and the translation of a form-based text (e.g., advertisement, prosaic works) requires a different approach. The needs and instructions of the client and the purpose of the translation are also important factors.
All ‘ordinary’ translations are performed by the requested deadline. Sometimes 2-3 pages need to be translated within a few hours though, naturally, it costs less if we have two days to work on the text. Our agency has translated hundreds of pages of tenders in 2-3 days as well as manuals in a number of weeks.

‘Attested translation’ vs. ‘certified translation’
Attested translation is often required for the submission of official documents (official certificates, annual reports, diplomas). The simplest definition of the attested translation is: ‘everything translated by OFFI’. Naturally, it does not mean that each translation produced by OFFI is an attested translation but it means that, based on a government decree, OFFI is the only translation agency that has the right to issue an ‘attested translation’.
Do not misunderstand us, it is not our intention to refer you to OFFI. We would not do that because they do not pay us commission and because, in our opinion, they are extremely inflexible and, in most cases there are cheaper, faster and more comfortable solutions.
Our agency, and the other translation agencies, can produce an ‘official translation’. That means that the translated document, which is generally produced on the basis of the original document, is proofread, printed out on paper with our company logo and a bilingual certification clause and a seal are added. This procedure is more cost effective and faster than the attestation undertaken by OFFI within an ordinary deadline of 30 days, though it is not guaranteed to be accepted by the party you intend to submit it to. It is important that you consult with the recipient as to whether the official translation is acceptable to them before you order it.
Úgynevezett hivatalos záradékkal ellátott fordítást is készítünk
Localisation is a special type of translation. During localisation, the expression of the message and the preservation of the form as well as the intended effect are a lot more important than the accurate translation of the content. Localisation needs a different type of approach and mind set than ‘ordinary’ translation. During localisation a translation works creatively, which is not generally the case in relation to ordinary translation assignments.
Our agency has already localised advertising spots, slogans and various digital contents, including games.
A honosítás díja általában megegyezik a fordítás díjával.
